Montessori Learning in French
The Montessori approach supports children’s learning by respecting their natural rhythm and encouraging independence, focus, and confidence through hands-on, meaningful activities. In a carefully prepared environment, children learn by exploring, manipulating, and understanding concepts in a concrete way. When Montessori education is offered in native French from France by an AMI-certified Montessori teacher, it provides an authentic French immersion experience that helps children naturally develop speaking, reading, writing, and math skills. This combination supports strong language development and builds a solid foundation for academic success and a lifelong love of learning.

Sihame
French AMI-Certified Montessori Teacher
My name is Sihame, I am a mother of three and a Montessori teacher in Ottawa, Ontario.
When my first child was born, I began to deeply question how to best support a child throughout their life. This led me to explore child development through conferences, books, and professional training. Along this journey, I discovered the Montessori approach, positive discipline, gentle communication, and insights from neuroscience. It was a new way of seeing childhood and learning, focused on cooperation rather than obedience.
My Montessori journey began with the Montessori Nido, emphasizing free movement, early sensory exploration, and language development. I also completed training in baby sign language, allowing me to create nurturing and adapted environments that support children’s well-being and autonomy.
As my child reached school age, I continued searching for an educational approach aligned with respect and balance. We chose homeschooling (family-led education) for several years, allowing learning to unfold naturally through real-life experiences and cultural outings. This period strengthened my passion for teaching and educational guidance.
Motivated by this desire to support children and families, I returned to my studies and became an AMI-certified Montessori educator for children aged 2.5 to 6 years. This enriching training shaped my professional practice and led me to work in Montessori schools in France and internationally, before bringing my experience to families in Ottawa and the surrounding area.
Through this blog and my educational services, I support parents looking for Montessori education in Ottawa, French language learning for children, and respectful, child-centered approaches. I see Montessori education as a powerful foundation for life, fostering autonomy, self-confidence, and self-esteem in children.
I look forward to connecting with families in Ottawa, Ontario, and sharing meaningful educational experiences together.
